Vegan Margherita Pizza

Vegan Margherita Pizza

Servings: 2 pizzas

Ingredients 

  • 500g white bread flour 
  • 1 tsp dried yeast 
  • 1 tsp caster sugar 
  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil 
  • 100ml passata 
  • Handful of fresh basil, chopped 
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed 
  • 200g vegan mozzarella cheese, grated 
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced  

Method 

  1. Put the flour, yeast and sugar into a large bowl. Mix together 150ml of cold water and 150 ml of boiling water. Add the oil and 1 tsp salt to the water and pour over the flour.  

  2. Stir well with a spoon then start to knead the mixture in the bowl until it is soft and slightly sticky.  

  3. Dust some flour on a work surface and knead the dough for 10 mins. Put it back in the bowl, cover with a clean cloth and leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.  

  4. Divide the dough into 2 pieces and stretch into shape.  

  5. Spread the passata on top then add some sliced tomatoes and the vegan cheese.  

  6. Cook in your Firepod for 4 mins.

Sardine Pizza

Sardine Pizza

Cooking time:  4 minutes 

Ingredients 

  • 2 pizza bases  
  • 4 tbsp of passata  
  • 110g can Sardines in Extra Virgin oil, drained  
  • 2 large handfuls of grated mozzarella cheese 
  • black olives, sliced  

Method 

  1. Spread the pizza bases with some passata. 

  2. Arrange the Sardines and olives over the bases and sprinkle with some grated mozzarella cheese. 

  3. Cook in your Firepod for 4 minutes.

Wholemeal Chapatis

Wholemeal Chapatis

Servings: 8 Chapatis  

Prep time: 10 minutes 

Cooking time10 minutes 

Ingredients 

  • 150g wholemeal flour 
  • 100g plain flour 
  • ½ tsp salt 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 
  • 170ml hot water 

Method 

  1. In a large bowl, stir together the flour and salt. 

  2. Using a wooden spoon, slowly stir in the oil and enough water to make a soft dough.  

  3. On a lightly floured surface knead the dough until smooth. Divide into 10 balls. 

  4. Roll out each dough ball until very thin. 

  5. Cook in your Firepod for 1 minute.

Ingredients 

  • For pizza base see our easy pizza dough recipe
  • 2 tbsp passata   
  • A large handful of grated cheddar cheese 
  • 1 red pepper 
  • 6 black olives 
  • 3-4 cherry tomatoes cut in half 
  • Rocket leaves 

 

Method 

  1. Spread some of the passata over the pizza base with the back of a spoon. 

  2. Scatter the rest of the ingredients over the pizza. 

  3. Cook in your Firepod for 4-5 minutes turning once during cooking. 

  4. Put some rocket leaves on the cooked pizza to serve.

Sweet & Spicy Marinade

Servings: 4 

Prep time: 10 minutes 

Ingredients 

  • 330g soft brown sugar 
  • 375g tomato ketchup 
  • 130 ml red wine vinegar  
  • 125ml water 
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 
  • 2 tbsp mustard powder 
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika  
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes  
  • 1 tsp black pepper  

Method 

  1. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth. 
  2. Use as a marinade for your chosen meat or as a dipping sauce.
